Engagement Shoot in StKilda
I love the images from this engagement shoot. With the love of sport this lovely couple share, it created the perfect, fun theme for this shoot. Hugh and Emma rode their bikes in the late afternoon along the beach, it was a really nice relaxed session with lots of laughs. I’ve been waiting for the wedding invites to be mailed out before I posted these images as some were used for the Wedding Invitations and I didn’t want to spoil the surprise. Not only are engagement sessions a great chance to work with the couple before the big day but its becoming increasingly popular for couples to use these images as a feature on the Wedding day or on Wedding Invitations. A great way to personalise your day!
Emma and Hugh met a few years through a triathlon club that they were both members of. Despite both having trained at the club for several years, they never crossed paths but, once they did, they’ve been inseparable!
Hugh popped the question on the day they received the keys to their new house. It was an incredibly hot Monday evening and, after arriving home from work, they loaded their cars up to move the first load of boxes from their apartment to the new house. Hugh stopped at the front door and very romantically declared that although he knows it’s only tradition once first married that he’d still really like to start their life in their new house by carrying Emma ‘over the threshold’. After about 5 Mins of admiring their new house or what felt like an eternity for Hugh, they made their way through to the back of their house to the kitchen. Hugh had secretly been to the house prior and had written ‘Will you marry me?’ on the kitchen blackboard.
Emma and Hugh will be married at the beautiful Quat Quatta, Ripponlea and starting their new life together as husband and wife on a honeymoon to Hawaii and Bali.
